Need to Know

Duration

This expedition is 7 days and 6 nights and involves travelling up to Scotland in an executive coach. We begin with a school training day before moving onto a 3 day, 2 night wilderness trek, ending with a relaxing rest day before travelling home.

Activities

Our school activity holiday to Scotland will have your students canoeing through Scotland's landscape, learning essential bushcraft skills along the way. Each evening, we put these new skills into practice and ask students to take the lead when we reach camp, ensuring personal growth for every student.

Accommodation

During our Scotland adventure, you and your students will stay in a youth hostel on the first night before beginning the captivating wilderness trek and canoe expedition in which you and your students will camp in the Scottish wilderness next to pristine forests and breath-taking lakes.

School canoeing expeditions in ScotlandUsing the 'great' outdoors to 'great' effect.

During our Scotland adventure, your students will learn bushcraft skills in the Scottish wilderness with an exhilarating canoe journey through the Scottish Highlands.
Our Scotland school expedition is the newest addition to our REAL adventure programme. The trip begins with one night in a modern youth hostel and a day of canoe skills training, menu planning, and food shopping before heading to the river the following morning. Each night, we will set-up camp in a memorable lake or forest-side location to cook and recharge around the campfire, ready for another day. At the end of the expedition, we return to the hostel for a day of relaxation and reflection.
This popular school activity trip focuses on teamwork and learning to plan and co-operate in a wilderness environment, giving students not only increased confidence but also life-long skills.
While more suitable for older students or college groups, our immersive Scotland adventure trip can be tailored to younger students, too. Speak to one of your school travel specialists to find out more
