Lake Bala, Aberdovey Estuary & The Great Glen
Canoeing is a great way for those who are not able to walk with a full pack in hilly or mountainous terrain or perhaps they just don't want to. That said, doing your gold award expedition by canoe it is also an amazing way to see and access some pretty special places and to see them from a very different perspective.
On this Atlas DofE canoe expedition, your students can really explore some of the best waterways in the UK in a fully managed, well thought out and inspirational manner all whilst having the ownership of planning and participating in their expedition. For the training and practice elements we will taking to Lake Bala and the Aberdovey estuary in Wales followed by a qualifying expedition in the wilds of Scotland journeying from Fort William to Inverness.
Here at Atlas we take our responsibilities very seriously and we only use qualified and experienced staff to train and supervise our expedition teams. All of our leaders have vast experience of canoe expeditions and are on hand to ensure that students as prepared as they could be for their challenge.
